An Official Announcement

People tend to praise/compliment me on my way with words and often say I should consider publishing. I usually tend to play it down, deny it or shrug it off. Maybe I shouldn’t, I don’t know. Writing and staying behind the scenes are my two most natural ways of experiencing the world. Here’s the thing: When it comes to things other people praise me for or say I’m good at, what comes comes, and God does the rest. None of this is me. It’s all God.

At the end of March, I posted the above as a status on Facebook, reflecting on how people have responded to my writing over the years. With these words in mind, I would like to officially announce here what I also shared last night.  For about a month or so now, I have been working on a project that I hope to share with you. I will be posting updates from time to time about my little “nugget”–usually shorter posts that will serve as little teasers of what is to come.

I am nearly bursting with excitement, and I honestly want it to be summer so that I can work on this full time.  As hard as it is, I am forcing myself to keep most of the details a secret.  Hints will be revealed along the way, so if you’re as curious about this as I am excited, you’ll stick around.  I doubt you’ll regret it.

In Suspense,

About thefreescribbler

My life is one of words. I am a scribbler, whose thoughts are best expressed through adjectives and phrases and punctuation marks. I would not go so far as to call myself a writer, although many would disagree. I’m characterized more by my unfinished works and half-embodied ideas, scraps of stories and parts of poems. Maybe one day I’ll be a writer, but I’m okay with being a scribbler right now. It fits my personality and style, and best expresses my aims. I’m not trying to create some lofty version of literature. I’m just a kid blogging about life. View all posts by thefreescribbler
